Made in Germany, The Concept features a 2 piece 30mm thick Delrin platter, a polished tempered steel bearing shaft within sintered bronze bushings. A mirror polished teflon thrust pad. It isbelt-driven by a decoupled DC motor. Select 33, 45 and 78 rpm at a turn of a dial. The Verify tonearm features a friction-free magnetic bearing. The Concept can be purchased with anoptional factory mounted and aligned MM or MC phono cartridge. Optional dust cover $250.

Clearaudio's very affordable turntable package featuring their new Ceramic Magnetic Bearing. The CMB magnetically levitates the 40mm acrylic platter for reduced friction, greater speed stability and additional isolation. The plinth of the new Performance DC is a composite construction of brushed aluminum sandwiching an MDF core with aluminum banding. An outboard AC synchronous motor and Satisfy Carbon Fiber tonearm featuring magnetic anti-skating and 3 point ruby jewel bearings complete the package. Made in Germany and available in satin black or satin silver finish. Optional dust cover $350

To compliment the Concept turntable, Clearaudio has introduced two affordable, high-performance cartridges, the Concept MM and Concept MC. Due to the unique "frictionless magnetic bearing" design of Concept's Verify tonearm, either cartridge is available factory pre-installed on the Concept turntable at a special package price. Both Clearaudio Concept cartridges are also available separately for use on any turntable. The Concept MM features an aluminum body and is a high output moving magnet cartridge based on Clearaudio's popular Aurum Wood Classic mkII. Its sound is both musical and inviting, with classic moving magnet warmth and body.

The Basic Plus phonostage offers both MM and MC capabilities, with enough gain to drive the lowest output cartridges. It is a very simple unit to operate with a single button switching between MM and MC functionality. Another nice feature is it dedicated power transformer, which resides outside the actual phonostage to keep the audio circuit as quiet as possible. Clearaudio's Accu Plus battery power supply may be added at any time, allowing the Basic Plus to run on pure DC power for even greater performance. The layout of the circuitry is optimised for high channel separation, complementing Clearaudio phono cartridges. All of our phono preamplifiers use the Clearaudio non-magnetic MPC RCA jacks.

A major improvement over its predecessor is the use of a patented configuration of 8 magnets for extremely wide dynamic range. The Talismann V2 Gold is fitted with a Micro HD stylus and a precision boron cantilever. The Micro HD diamond achieves a perfect contact with the record groove walls and by virtue of its extremely low mass, is able to faithfully reproduce even the finest musical details. The name "Gold" refers to the MC generator in which the coils are manufactured from pure 24-karat gold wire. The combination of these unique features sets the clearaudio Talismann V2 Gold apart from other MC cartridges in this price range.
